April is not just for rain showers and preparing for May flowers, it’s also for National County Government Month. Stearns County is hosting its annual open house on Saturday, April 11 from 9 a.m. to noon in celebration of its Highway Department. The event will take place at 455 28th Avenue South in Waite Park.

Both adults and kids can have fun looking at various road repair and maintenance equipment used by the department. Some of the machines on display include snowplows, pavers, rollers and bulldozers.Attendees will also get the opportunity to learn about the evolution of the roadway systems in the St. Cloud area.
