The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects involved in a burglary in St. Wendel Township.

Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner says deputies were called to the 33000 block of 112th Ave around 12:30 p.m. Monday afternoon. Sanner says a woman had returned to her home and saw a strange man there.

Deputies say the victim heard the man yell out, possibly to another person, and then he ran off.

A ground search was done with the assistance of the Avon and St. Joseph Police Departments along with the Minnesota State Troopers.

The State Patrol also helped in the search with a helicopter and airplane. The woman said items were taken from her home.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says this is an active investigation and is currently looking for any information on suspicious persons or vehicles in the area.
