Halloween is here, and the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office reminds the public to take extra care and stay safe with some helpful tips:

The Sheriff’s Office recommends that children under 12 years old trick or treat with an adult, carry a cell phone, and be home by a scheduled curfew.

The Sheriff’s Office also gives tips on how to safety-proof your home by removing slippery leaves, leaving an outside light on, and avoiding using open flames as festive decoration.
