A St. Joseph man was killed in his garage Monday after the car he was trying to change the oil in fell on top of him.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says 58-year-old Gary Glein used a floor jack to lift his car. Glein was under the passenger side wheel-well on a mechanics cart when the car slipped off the jack causing the car to land on his chest.

Glein’s body was discovered by his wife when she came home from work. Stearns County Deputies, St. Joseph Police, St. Joseph Fire, and Gold Cross Ambulance responded to the scene.
