Archived: Tech High School Students Finish Habitat For Humanity House

Construction of the first “Tiger Build” is complete and a dedication ceremony is scheduled for this weekend.

Executive Director of Central Minnesota’s Habitat for Humanity, Bruce Johnson says Tech High School juniors and seniors have been working side by side with CMHFH volunteers and construction students from St. Cloud Technical & Community College. Together they build the six-bedroom house for the Mohamed-Ahmed family.

The project began in September 2015 and the house will be purchased in April.

To celebrate the completion of the house, a Tiger Build Home Dedication will be held this Saturday at the building site located at 1834 Clearwater Road, beginning at noon. Anyone in the community is welcome to attend.
