Archived: The College of Saint Benedict Overhauls Nursing Facility Through $2.5 Million Renovation
The College of Saint Benedict is looking to help future nurses meet current and emerging health care demands with a $2.5 million renovation of their nursing facility.
Chair of the Nursing Department Carie Braun says the renovation will finally allow them to create a simulated learning space that is up-to-date and looks like a realistic working environment. Nursing students will be able to take advantage of a redesigned area with six simulation rooms that resemble actual patient care settings. The old setting resembled more of a hospital ward.
The renovated facility will be known as the Schoenecker Nursing Education Center and is expected to be completed by the start of fall semester, 2015.
