The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office has resolved communications issues that started Sunday morning.

According to Sheriff Don Gudmundson, the non-emergency lines were experiencing outages early Sunday morning which affected both incoming and outgoing calls.

The issues were due to the phone service provider experiencing a power outage that began shortly after 3:30 a.m. All non-emergency lines began to automatically self-repair after that.

The issues were resolved around 7:30 a.m. although some lines had to be manually reset.  

No 911 emergency lines were affected by the outage.
