Live music will be on the list of festivities this fall for SCSU’s Celebrate! Weekend as The Smithereens are set to perform on campus September 13. 

Formed in 1980 in Carteret, New Jersey, the band is well known for writing and playing 1960s-influenced power pop music.

The concert will take place at Husky Stadium at 7 p.m. following the Huskies opening football game against Wayne State College.
