Archived: Three People Hospitalized With Serious Injuries After Accident In Kandiyohi County Wednesday
An Olivia man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after an accident in Kandiyohi County Wednesday afternoon.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 62-year-old Thomas Kalahar from Olivia was heading northbound on Highway 71 in the area of Milepost 115 when he drove into a whiteout from a snowplow. Kalahar lost the control of his SUV and hit another SUV head on.
Fifty-two-year-old Gregory Borchert from St. Peter was traveling southbound on Highway 71 when the accident happened. He received non-life threatening injuries.
Sixty-three-year-old Geneva Kalahar, the passenger of Thomas Kalahar, received serious injuries.
Both of the drivers and the passenger were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries.
The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office assisted Minnesota State Patrol at the scene.
