Archived: Traffic-Related Deaths Increase Since 2014, Statistics From Public Safety
Statistics show the number of traffic-related deaths in Minnesota is on the rise.
The Stearns County Department of Public Safety says the number of traffic deaths has risen from 319 last year to 364 this year. The number of deaths among pedestrians has increased from 16 to 36. Motorcycle accidents has spiked from 45 to 61 deaths. Finally, the number of fatalities among bikers has doubled from 5 to 10.
Drivers are encouraged to pay attention to traffic laws to avoid losing their loved ones.
