Two Maplewood men are being held at the Stearns County Jail on charges related to a drug seizure in St. Joseph Township.

Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner says deputies pulled over a pickup that was speeding on Interstate 94 just before 2 a.m. Tuesday morning. During the traffic stop deputies found approximately 50 grams of a substance which was later field tested and found to be methamphetamine. The deputy also found $8,500 in cash in the truck as well.

Deputies arrested 24-year-old Colin Gaelen Nicholson and 24-year-old Matthew Salvatore Emerson both of Maplewood on felony level controlled substance charges. Both are being held in the Stearns County Jail.

The Narcotics K9 unit from the St. Cloud Police Department assisted in the vehicle search.
