An Eden Valley woman was seriously injured in a head-on car crash in Wright County Sunday evening.

37-year-old Vanessa Smith was riding with 29-year-old Justin Warnke in an SUV along Highway 12 when they swerved into oncoming traffic. Just before 6:30 p.m. the SUV hit a semi-truck head-on driven by 45-year-old Bradley Franklin.

Smith suffered serious injuries from the crash and Warnke received non-life threatening wounds. Franklin was not harmed.

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident.
