Two St. Cloud men were involved in a shooting incident at a Waite Park motel on Friday afternoon.

Waite Park Police Department Chief Dave Bentrud says officers responded to a gunshot complaint at the Motel 6 located in the 800 block of 1st Street South just after 6 p.m. on December 12th. Bentrud says officers found multiple shell casings on the side walk by the motel. Witnesses also saw two suspects fleeing north on foot.

Officers located and arrested 18-year-old Jonathan Hanson and 20-year-old Deandre Jones of St. Cloud at the 100 block of 7th Avenue North. Bentrud says handguns were recovered after a thorough search of the area. The suspects are facing charges of First Degree Assault.

Bentrud adds there are additional charges of promotion of prostitution against other suspects present at the scene.

The St. Cloud Hospital report shows a victim with multiple gunshots was taken to the emergency room. Bentrud says the investigation is actively going on.
