Two men were arrested on charges of 1st degree aggravated robbery Saturday night in St. Cloud.

St. Cloud Police Assistant Chief Jeff Oxton says officers responded to a report of robbery at the intersection of 7th Avenue and 7th Street South around 11:10 p.m. Investigators learned a 19-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman were walking in the area when two men approached and robbed them.

The first suspect, identified as 18-year-old Blake Andrew Dearmond from St. Cloud, used a replica gun and demanded the victims hand over their belongings. The 19-year-old refused and a fight broke out. The second suspect, identified as 28-year-old Brandon Deshawn Wilkes from Golden Valley, used a stun gun on the man.

Dearmond and Wilkes then snatched the victims’ personal items and fled the scene on foot. Officers found them at 9th Avenue South and 5th Street. Both men were arrested and taken to Stearns County Jail.

The victims suffered minor injuries from the stun gun, but didn’t need medical attention.
