SARTELL, Minn. (AP) – A 2-year-old boy has died after falling into a swimming pool in central Minnesota.

Sartell Police Chief Jim Hughes says officers were called to the home Monday afternoon. When police arrived, the 911 caller was trying to revive the boy, who was not breathing.

Officers took over until medics arrived. The boy was taken by ambulance to St. Cloud Hospital, where he died.

An autopsy will be performed by the Ramsey County medical examiner’s office.

The St. Cloud Time reports the boy’s name has not been released.
