Archived: VA extends more benefits to Vietnam vets

The Veterans Affairs office is making it easier for veterans exposed to Agent Orange during the Vietnam War to receive more benefits. Vets who served during the war and who have a “presumed” illness will no longer have to prove a connection between their disease and military service. These presumed illnesses include B Cell leukimia’s, such as Parkinson’s Disease and ischemic heart disease.

For more information about this new policy, vets should call the Stearns County Veterans Service Office. In St. Cloud, that number is (320) 656-6176.
