A man dies of knife injuries on the south side of St. Cloud early Friday morning.

St. Cloud Police Sergeant Jason Burke says officers responded to a knife complaint at the intersection of 6th Avenue South and 5th Street South at 1:40 a.m. The investigation shows several people engaged in a physical fight in which a victim received life threatening injuries.

Officers and Gold Cross paramedics tried to save the victim, but he deceased at the scene. The case is under ongoing investigation. St. Cloud Police Department says there is no threat to public and urges anyone with information to contact them at 320-251-1200.
