Archived: Well Fargo Bank Robbed in St. Cloud Tuesday

St. Cloud Police Department’s Criminal Investigative Unit and the FBI are investigating a Wells Fargo Bank robbery in St. Cloud Tuesday afternoon.

Police were called to the bank located at 200 33rd Avenue South shortly after the robbery occurred at 1:15 p.m.  Police Lieutenant Jeff Oxton says a lone male suspect entered the bank, handed the teller a note saying it was a robbery and demanded money.

The suspect did not display a weapon, but it was implied by the suspect he had a weapon in the front pocket of his sweatshirt. No one was injured during the robbery and the suspect left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He is described as a white man, 25 to 35 years old, unshaven with a missing front tooth. The suspect was wearing a gray hoodie sweatshirt, red hat, sunglasses, dark pants and tennis shoes at the time of the robbery.

St. Cloud Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect. Tri-County Crimestoppers offers rewards for information leading to the arrest of suspects.
