St. Cloud Police were called to a possible domestic assault case early Saturday afternoon.

St. Cloud Police Sergeant Jason Burke says officers were called to 1st Street and 29th Avenue South in St. Cloud after a caller said a man driving around with what appeared to be a rifle.

After an investigation, police arrested 24-year-old Joel Filiberto Medellin of Willmar for felony possession of a firearm based on Medellin’s criminal history.

Sergeant Burke says officers recovered two pellet rifles from Medellin’s vehicle. However, there was not enough evidence to prove an assault had occurred.
