The St. Cloud State University (39-16) Huskies baseball team is headed down to Emporia, Kansas as the number three seed in the 2017 NCAA Division II Central Region tournament.

The Huskies earned the three seed by finishing runner up in the NSIC tournament to Minnesota State Mankato by a score of 4-2. Mankato is the number two seed in the regional.

The Huskies will start off tournament play against the sixth seeded Missouri Western State University Griffins (32-20). The Huskies sent the Griffins home in the first round of last year’s tournament.

This is the Huskies third straight trip to the tournament and their seventh since 2010.

The tournament is double elimination and will take place over the 18th to the 22nd of May.
