SCSU Volleyball will take the road to battle with #7 University of Minnesota-Duluth this Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. The Huskies will head into the match with a 9-2 record, while the Bulldogs are 8-1 on the year.

 

St. Cloud State has relied upon a fantastic defense thus far, ranking 5th in opponent hitting percentage, 3rd in opponent kills per set, and 4th in digs per set. Sophomore Libero Clara Krenz leads the NSIC in digs per set and slots in at 9th in aces per set.

 

The Huskies will certainly need a great defense when they take on UMD’s NSIC-best hitting attack. The Bulldogs lead the conference in hitting percentage, kills per set, and assists per set. Junior Sarah Kelly and Senior Allison Olley rank 1st and 2nd in the NSIC in hitting percentage.

 

This will be the second time in the past 3 games for SCSU that they have a Huskies’ sibling on the opposing team, as Freshman Setter Maddy Torve’s sister Emily Torve plays the same position for UMD. The Sophomore Emily ranks 3rd in conference with 12.67 assists per set.

 

The opening serve will come Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. in Duluth.
