St. Cloud State Volleyball (9-3) saw their 3 match winning streak snapped on Tuesday night as #6 University of Minnesota-Duluth (10-1) took down the Huskies in straight sets.

 

UMD came into the match leading the nation in kills per set, and certainly didn’t disappoint against the Huskies. The Bulldogs outkilled SCSU 49 to 22, hitting a robust .339. UMD was lead on the attack by Kate Berg, as the freshman had a match-high 17 kills. Makenzie Morgan and Sarah Kelly each racked up 12 kills for the Dogs’.

 

SCSU struggled mightily on the attack, as they hit just .048. Senior Nicole Miller led with 7 kills, and Libero Clara Krenz totaled 21 digs. The Huskies tightened up their defense in the third set, holding UMD to just .191 hitting.
