On Saturday SCSU hosted Augustana at Husky Stadium in a battle of NSIC rivals. The Huskies opened the game with a 46 yard field goal by Adam Stage and on the ensuing Vikings drive, Sophomore Graham Miller returned an interception to the house for a 10 point lead for SCSU. The Huskies would end up scoring 26 points in total before Augustana got on the board with two scores late in the game for the final of 26-14.

A two-headed monster led the way offensively for the Huskies with running back Gregory Lewis rushing for 58 yards and a touchdown while Joe Blando picked up 45 yards on 25 carries.

Quarterback Dwayne Lawhorn left Saturday’s game with an injury in his non-throwing shoulder requiring Redshirt Freshman Justin Czech to come into the game.

With the win SCSU improves to 3-1 on the season and will be back in action on Thursday when they travel north to face UMD.
