The SCSU women’s hockey team was swept by No. 6 Minnesota this past weekend.

Alex Woken led the Gophers Friday with 2 goals helping in the 3-0 win. Goaltender Janine Alder stopped 33 of 36 shots in the game.

SCSU nearly completed a comeback late in Saturday’s game with goals from Alyssa Erickson and Laura Kluge 77 seconds apart, but fell just short losing 4-3. Emma Bigham also found her way onto the score sheet as she tallied the first goal of the day for SCSU midway through the third period. 

With the losses the Huskies drop to 2-12 on the year. The Huskies will be at the Brooks Center Wednesday for a game against Bemidji with puck drop at 6:07 pm.
