The number 1 ranked St. Cloud State men’s hockey team will host the number 3 ranked Denver pioneers this weekend at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center. St. Cloud comes into the weekend with a 20-6-4 record while Denver is 17-7-6.

Robby Jackson leads the Huskies in points while sharing the goals lead with Mikey Eyssimont while they both look to add to that total this weekend. For the Pioneers first round draft pick Henrik Borgstrom leads the way with 39 points.

The Huskies are led by goaltenders Jeff Smith and David Hrenak. Smith comes into this weekend with a 0.910 save percentage while Hrenak has 0.927. Both goaltenders have seen ice time this year and will most likely split the games this weekend. Tanner Jaillet with man the crease for Denver who owns a 0.927 save percentage himself.

The Huskies can clinch the NCHC Title with a sweep this weekend. Friday’s game starts at 7:37 while Saturday is a 7:07 puck drop. You can hear both games live on KVSC 88.1.
