The St. Cloud State men’s basketball team (17-11, 13-9 NSIC) hosts Southwest Minnesota State University (12-16, 8-14 NSIC) Wednesday in the first-round of the NSIC Tournament. The only meeting between these two squads this season occurred on January 30^th in Marshall, Minnesota. St. Cloud State strolled to a 76-55 win.

In order to get the victory again the Huskies must contain SMSU shooters and seeing as how they have the NSIC’s best three-point shooting defense they are more than capable of doing that.

On the Mustangs side of things, they will need to find a way to shake free of St. Cloud’s perimeter defense and finish with respectable shooting percentages (SMSU shot 38% FG, 31% 3PT, 41% FT in January 30^th game).

St. Cloud State is led in several categories by Jordan Poydras (19.9 ppg, 4.3 apg, 1.5 spg). Scottie Stone will be a player to watch as well since he is shooting 45% from the field and from downtown.

The Mustangs are led in scoring by Joey Bartlett (13.6 ppg). Bartlett also leads the team in three-point percentage at 38%.
