The History of the George W. Friedrich Park

Before the park was named after George W. Friedrich, the park went by many names including College Park, since it was owned by St. Cloud Sate University when it was known at the St. Cloud Teacher’s College.
The park has changed a lot over the years, from a granite quarry, to swimming area, to the wonderful park we all know it as today.
