ST. CLOUD, Minn.– CentraCare Corbon Cancer Center is offering free prostate cancer screening on Thursday, September 17, to help eligible men detect it early.
The Urology clinic and the laboratory services are partnering with CentraCare to provide the screenings from 4 -6 p.m. at the CentraCare Corbon Cancer Center.
Men ranging in age from 45-70 with no history of prostate cancer are eligible for a free prostate-specific antigen blood test and prostate exam.
Prostate Cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting men. According to the American Cancer Society, about 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.
Early detection helps identify prostate cancer before symptoms develop, when treatment may be most effective.
