On September 24 at 6 p.m., the St. Cloud State Huskies (9-4) took on the Minnesota State Mavericks (3-9) 

Set 1 was a fantastic clean set for the Huskies, who had a newer rotation in the front, with freshman Alexis Heinle beginning in the front three. It was Kinsey Mohwinkle who would end up taking set number one for the Huskies with a fadeaway type of strike.

Set 2 was close for both teams. Minnesota State’s Addison Foor would rack up multiple kills to give the Mavericks a bit of a lead. However, it was Shelby Kimm who did everything possible to keep the team in the game with repeated kills and would steal the set from the Mavericks, 27 to 25 

In set 3, Lauren Hamann and Kinsey Mohwinkle sealed the game for the Huskies. Mohwinkle had key blocks, and Hamann had key aces that tied her season high at three. The Huskies would sweep the Mavericks 3-0
