A 54-year-old Watkins man died Wednesday after being pinned under the truck he was working on.

Stearns County Sheriff Don Gudmundson says deputies were called to a residence on Kraemer Lake Road in Luxembourg Township just after 5 p.m. There the victim, Joseph Edwin Pauly, was pinned under the semi-truck he was working on. Emergency responders determined he was deceased when they arrived.

Pauly was doing repair work on an axel on the semi-truck when the hydraulic bottle jack holding the truck up slipped out and the truck fell on him. His family members discovered the accident and called authorities for help.
