Archived: Stearns County Auditor’s Office To Receive Ballots From Benton and Sherburne As Well

Absentee voting has begun in Central Minnesota, and there is a major change to the ballots.

Stearns County says that residents of St. Cloud can vote in person at the Stearns County Auditor’s Office, regardless of county. People who live in Benton and Sherburne County don’t have to travel to Foley and Elk River to cast their votes in person anymore.

This change only affects in-person absentee balloting. Ballots sent by mail need to to be sent to the auditor-treasure’s office of the appropriate county.

Absentee balloting for the August primary election started on Friday, June 29 and will end on Monday, August 13.
