Archived: A Woman Was Abducted By Two Masked Men In Sartell Wednesday Night

A woman who returned to her vehicle after a stop at McDonald’s was abducted and assaulted.

According to Sartell Police Chief Jim Hughes, a 56-year-old woman went into the fast food restaurant about 9:40 p.m. Wednesday night. When she got back in her vehicle, a man in a ski mask was in her back seat. Police say he told her to drive to another location where a second masked man demanded money. Investigators say she was attacked and choked into unconsciousness.

The men drove the woman around the St. Cloud area and eventually pushed her from the vehicle.

Chief Hughes said the woman went into Coborn’s Superstore in Sauk Rapids about 2 a.m. Thursday and called for help. She was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital to be treated for her injuries and was later released.

Sauk Rapids Police later located the vehicle abandoned in their city and found that the inside had been set on fire.
