A woman has suffered serious injuries after crashing into a truck on Highway 23 and County Road 138 Thursday afternoon.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 1999 Suburu Forester driven by 40-year-old Kristen Betterman of Waite Park, was traveling westbound on Highway 23 when a 2006 Ford Super Duty driven by 35-year-old Gary Spychala (Spee-ya-la) of St. Joseph, was traveling eastbound on Highway 23 and turning left at the intersection. While crossing into the westbound lane, Spychala was broadsided by the Suburu.

Betterman was taken to the St. Cloud hospital for her serious injuries. Spychala suffered no apparent injuries.
