Archived: CapX2020 Project To Cause Closure Along I-94 Through Wednesday
Rolling roadblocks and closures on I-94 will be happening Monday through Wednesday as a part of construction on the CapX 20-20 project.
According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, both directions of I-94 between Highway 23 and County Road 2 will be reduced to a single lane from 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
MinnDOT says rolling roadblocks will be placed in a 4-mile segment of I-94 just west of St. Cloud and usually move at speeds of 15 to 25 miles per hour.
Also on Wednesday, crews will be opening and closing the ramp from Highway 23 to westbound I-94, 15 minutes at a time.
