The SCSU men’s hockey team swept UMD this past weekend to continue their early season success.

On Friday the Bulldogs opened up the scoring in the 2nd with a goal short handed but SCSU answered back 19 seconds later to even the score at 1-1. The back and forth scoring eventually led to a 5-3 win for the Huskies. Junior Captain Jimmy Schuldt had a goal and assist to move to a team leading 12 points on the year.

On Saturday SCSU was dominant tallying five goals to secure the series sweep over UMD. Freshamn goalie David Hrenak picked up a shutout stopping all 29 shots that were fired his way.

The Huskies remain undefeated on the season and improve to 7-0-0 on the year with a 2-0-0 mark in NCHC play.
