Is it possible to impact a program for decades when you’re only there for one year? Herb Brooks proved that to be possible. This month is the 40^th anniversary of Herb Brooks being hired as St. Cloud State’s men’s hockey head coach.

It may have just been a one year contract, but Brooks served a larger purpose for SCSU and the entire State of Hockey.
