2025 was the 100th homecoming weekend at St. Cloud State University, and the 37th anniversary of the homecoming riots of 1988.
In this part two episode of History Mystery, KVSC News Director Shay Lelonek continues his conversation with Mike Knaak, and SCSU Archivist Tom Steman about the history of homecoming at SCSU, and the events of the 1988 homecoming weekend.
Shay also talks with KVSC Music Consultant Andy Valenty, who was working at KVSC as a student at the time of the 1988 riots. Mike Knaak was also on campus working as a journalist for the St. Cloud Times and covering the chaotic weekend.
