Minnesota Historical Society Has Been Saving The Oral History of Minnesota for Decades. Here’s How You Can Add Yours!

We’ve all got stories, but as the years go by sometimes these stories can get lost. The Minnesota Historical Society, however, has been actively collecting the oral history of everyday Minnesotans for years, and they need your help to add to this detailed and interesting archive. In today’s installment of the Untold Stories of Central Minnesota, Arts & Cultural Heritage Producer Jeff Carmack talks with Ryan Barland from the Minnesota Historical Society Oral History Project about some of the more interesting stories found within the archive, including tales from 100 year old lumberjacks and anecdote surrounding the Kensington Runestone, and helpful tips on how you can preserve your family’s oral history within the archive.

This program is funded in part by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Legacy Grant.
