Rally Against Violence by Minnesota Somalis
On June 7, 2013, thousands of Minnesota Somalis gathered at the state capitol building to stand against recent violence against Somali immigrants in South Africa. The community was hoping to raise awareness of the plight these immigrants were facing, and that the U.S. government might take a public stand on the issue. St. Cloud Somali Radio’s Haji Abu attended the rally, listened to the speakers and interviewed some of the demonstrators. This podcast is in English and Somali.
