The Untold Story of the SCSU Archive, 150 Years of History with Tom Steman

Have you ever wondered how World War I affected St. Cloud State University?  Have you ever wondered how the neighborhood around the college has changed over the years?  Have you ever wondered what the major SCSU sports landmark of 1895 was all about?

Well, in this episode of the Untold Stories of Central Minnesota, Arts & Cultural Heritage Producer Jeff Carmack visits with University Archivist Tom Steman on the eve of SCSU’s sesquicentennial year celebration.  He’s got the answers to all these questions and much, much more!

Located on the third floor of the Miller Learning Center, the SCSU Archive provides a look back into the history of SCSU through both physical and digital means, and in this latest conversation between Jeff and Tom, they cover such topics like the first graduating class at SCSU, the costume sketches of Harvey Jurik, and KVSC Trivia, which is celebrating its 40th year.

This program is funded in part by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Legacy Grant.
