The St. Cloud State softball team fell to the University of Minnesota-Duluth twice in the opening games of the NSIC season.

The Huskies lost a close game 1 by the final of 7-6. Minnesota-Duluth scored four runs in the bottom of the 4th inning to tie the game at 6-6 and put up the game winning run in the 5th inning. The Huskies were unable to bounce back in game 2, falling 6-4.

St. Cloud State is now on an eight game losing streak that began during the Hy-Vee Classic in St. Joseph, Missouri nearly two weeks ago. They will return home to Selke Field this weekend to take on Minot State and the University of Mary. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
