SCSU Volleyball Falls in Four to MSUM
The St. Cloud State Volleyball team (9-4, 5-2) fell in four sets to Minnesota State University-Moorhead (9-5, 5-2) on Saturday afternoon, 25-22, 23-25, 24-26, and 25-27.
Rachel Houle terminated a career-high 16 kills on .233 hitting in the match, while Linsey Rachel tied a career mark with 19 kills and posted a career-high 25 digs. Erin Navratil added 10 kills, while Maddy Torve racked up a double-double with 39 assists and 12 digs to go with 3 blocks and a career-high 5 kills.
Amanda Carlson led MSUM with 19 kills, while Kaylyn Jenkins compiled 9 blocks. Kylie Kanwischer posted 8 blocks for the Dragons, and Monica Vega put up 37 digs.
The Huskies’ downfall were their errors, as they committed 35 attack errors and posted a .898 in serve receive with 10 misses.
MSUM posted 17.0 blocks, making it nearly impossible for SCSU to get a clean shot off.
The Huskies return to action next weekend with home matches against Wayne State College and Augustana.
