The St. Cloud State baseball team notched their fifth straight series win this past weekend, taking three of four against Concordia St. Paul. After dropping game one 8-5, the Huskies came back in game two with a 2 run eighth, as Mathew Meyer drove in Judd Davis to give the Huskies a 5-4 victory. In game three, SCSU launched three straight two out home runs in the third en route to a 9-3 victory. The Huskies stormed back in game four with eighth-inning RBI doubles by Zach Metzger and Mitch Mallek and an RBI single from Meyer to notch an 8-5 win. The Huskies are now 24-8 on the year with a 16-5 conference record. They will clash with UMD on Tuesday with first pitch set for 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. This weekend the team will take on Mankato State on Friday and Saturday, with Friday’s games starting at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., while Saturday’s games will begin at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. All games will be found on the KVSC Sports Stream.
