The St. Cloud State Football team would suffer heartbreak Saturday evening in a 21-20 loss to Southwest Minnesota State University.

 

Penalties would plague the Huskie offense for most of the game; forcing St. Cloud State to face a 7-21 deficit heading into the 4th quarter. 

 

The Huskies would begin a furious rally that would be capped off with a Nate Meyer rushing touchdown that would put the game at a score of 20-21. Kicker Derek Witte would miss the ensuing extra point and end the Huskies comeback bid.

 

St Cloud State travels to Winona this weekend to face the 2-1 Warriors.
