ST. CLOUD, Minn. — The National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) recently announces its annual list of Superintendents to watch.

Superintendent Dr. Laurie Putnam was selected by NSPRA as one of 30 leaders across the U.S. for the 2025-26 honor, according to a media release from St. Cloud Area School District 742.

This list recognizes innovative superintendents who, in their first five years, have shown outstanding leadership in fostering meaningful, two-way communication and strengthening community engagement.

Putnam was nominated for her commitment to academic success, belonging, innovation, collaboration, community engagement, and more.

NSPRA received 66 nominations this year, with a competitive selection process. In 2025, Putnam was named as Minnesota’s Superintendent of the Year.
