KVSC’s The Menu brings you interviews with the music acts that you love. The episode airing September 1 features acclaimed singer-songwriter Dean Johnson.

Dean Johnson was something of a cult hero in Seattle. His talents were revered for years by wise people in the local music scene, but he mainly opened shows for friends. His prominence grew until it was undeniable that he deserved a larger stage, and his debut album, Nothing for Me, Please, was released on the day he turned fifty years old.

Johnson now gets to venture far from those home venues, including an upcoming stop at St. Paul’s Turf Club, on Friday, September 11.
