Archived: Two People Sent To Hospital After Woman Runs Red Light
Two people in Big Lake were sent to the hospital Tuesday night after a woman ran a red light.
Minnesota State Patrol Sergeant Jesse Grabow says just before 8:30 p.m. 18-year-old Kayla Wesley of Big Lake was driving east on Highway 10 when she made a left turn on a red arrow onto County Road 81. 38-year-old Jesse Kipka of Foly was driving west on 10 when he struck Wesley on the side.
Wesley then rolled her car into 58-year-old Scott Davis of Big Lake who was stopped at the red light on County Road 81. The car rolled until it came to a rest on the roof.
Wesley was taken to Monticello Hospital and Kipka was taken to St. Cloud Hospital for their non-life threatening injures, Davis was uninjured.
