UPDATE: Minnesota State Patrol releases names of those involved in Monday night fatal crash

ST. CLOUD, Minn. — The Minnesota State Patrol has released the names of those involved in the fatal crash on University Drive that occured on Monday night.
Mohamud Yusuf was the 41-year-old driver who was pronounced dead on the scene on Nov. 17. Yusuf was driving westbound on University Drive near Killian Boulevard at 62 mph in a 30 mph zone.
A St. Cloud Police officer was on a routine patrol when he saw Yusuf speeding and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. Yusuf then accelerated and fled from the officer.
The officer followed in a short pursuit until Yusuf drove through the roundabout on 5th Avenue, causing his vehicle to collide with a parked truck, which was occupied by 53-year-old Mark Weber of St. Cloud.
Weber received non-life-threatening injuries and was brought to Mayo Clinic for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation.
