The St. Cloud State Women’s Basketball team earned their first NSIC Tournament victory in four years defeating Minnesota-State Mankato 80-63 Wednesday night at Halenbeck Hall.

The Huskies would finish the game shooting 43% from the field including an impressive 48% from behind the 3-point line.

Junior Madelin Dammann was lights out for the Huskies in the win, scoring a career high 27 points in the tournament win while also collecting 8 rebounds and a pair of assists. Erin Navartil was solid off the bench tallying 3 – 3 pointers, as well as Nikki Kilboten posting 11 points and 13 rebounds for her third double-double of the season.

St. Cloud State will battle Bemidji State in the 2nd round of the NSIC Tournament Saturday at 5:30pm in Sioux Falls South Dakota. Coverage will begin at 5pm with Leif Ender on the Play-by-Play call live on 88.1fm KVSC.
