An 11-year-old child ran from his home in St. Cloud Thursday evening, causing his family to contact authorities.

The St. Cloud Police Department says they received a report of a missing juvenile in the 800 block of 15th Avenue North just after 5 p.m. Once police were dispatched, the mother said that her son Brennan was high-functioning autistic. She also mentioned that the family was new to the area and that Brennan would not know the neighborhood yet.

At around 6:30 p.m, the police department received a call from a neighboring household saying that there was a boy in their house. After making contact, officers found it was Brennan, and returned him back to his house.

Brennan had not been outside long, and was unharmed. It was not known why Brennan went to the residence he was found in.
